Everybody is a fan of the legendary actor and superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s brilliant skills and strong screen presence. The actor has been entertaining the audience since decades and still continues to do so. Mr. Bachchan is currently seen hosting Sony TV’s popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati 11. Not just his acting, but Mr Bachchan is always well dressed and his styling is on point, especially on KBC.
We got in touch with his stylist for the show, Priya Patil who spilled the beans on the actor’s styling details for the show and his personal style. Speaking about the experience of working with Amitabh Bachchan, Priya shared, “Well, Mr. Bachchan is a legend and I’ve always said this about him that he’s so charismatic that he looks good in anything that he wears. Sometimes I give him a plain Bandhgala or a classic three piece suit, but when he wears it the clothes suddenly start looking extraordinary. So, it’s been an awesome experience working with him and I’ve been here for seven years but I am designing past two years and loving it.”
Every season there is something unique about Mr. Bachchan’s look in KBC. Speaking about the one thing that is unique about his styling in the current season, Priya shared, “This year that one different element is socks, which he himself has introduced. He’s wearing these interesting printed and fun socks which are visible in some of the episodes. Apart from that, I was experimenting with tie knots and that did really well this season and was talked about a lot. A lot of people on social media also kept asking me about the different styles of tying a tie knot. The best part was he was very cooperative and sometimes it’s not easy to work with these stars.”
When asked to define Amitabh Bachchan’s personal style, she said, “I think his personal style is very clean and classic. He likes to wear his Pathani Kurtas with shawl and Bandhgalas. I think he’s the one who has popularized Bandhgalas.”
Adding more about Bachchan’s styling she said, “For Diwali, I suggested him to wear a full floral piece which he was not very comfortable wearing, but he still took the risk and let me be creative and experimental with his styling. He finally pulled off the floral look with panache.”
